Wendy's Country Keepsakes My love has always been old barns and items like what my grandparents and great-grandparents would have used in the 1800's and early 1900's.However, I am certainly glad that I did not live in those years and have to do all those chores and cook with an old iron stove that smoked...but that still does not keep me from loving them. I also  love pretty pitchers and plates with roses, beautiful old trinket boxes from metals, and all the lovely pictures frames from days gone bye. My mother was born in 1900 and she keep memory books and mentos and I love to look through them and know every page by heart because she told me about all the things and people in those books. They are treasures for future generations.
