First of all I am going to tell you a little about us. My daughter (who lives in Texas) has had an Ebay store for 8 years. Due to her success, I started an ear cuff store (Wendy's Place for Earrings). Since then, we started JW_Odds_and_Ends to put all our miscellaneous items. A year ago, we thought we'd try our hand at coupons in this store called The Coupon Cutters. Barely broke even. Hugely labor intensive....and you just make pennies. But what to do with the store? We decided Jane will keep the odds and ends store, and I'll move my lower priced great value ear cuffs into this store...Well, okay, we're keeping the CD recipe and how-to-craft books in this store for awhile. And if I have pre-owned clothing, that will go in here as well.

SO, HOW DID I GET STARTED IN EAR CUFFS. Semi-short version: Broke up with boyfriend. Moved to Cabo, Mexico, lived in a tent on the beach. Came back periodically to San Diego to sell the stuff he abandoned at a local swap meet. Ended up with Mexican earrings. Sold that too. Started selling at regional fairs. At a huge fair, I found my shipment of earrings didn't have ear hooks. Another vendor gave me pliers and hooks and taught me how to put them on. Visited a local bead store and got hooked. Started making all my own jewelry including ear cuffs. I made them with chains to a post. Yes, they were Bajoran ear cuffs BEFORE Star Trek came up with Bajorans on Deep Space 9. The moment I saw Deep Space 9 and were using earrings like mine on their show, I started doing Star Trek conventions for 3 1/2 years - every weekend from Hawaii to to New York. (in full costume, of course.) Then...into every life some rain must fall...the major company who put on the conventions cut back to 12 a year instead of a couple of hundred a year. Couldn't make a living at that. Went into another business. Put the earrings in storage for 10 years. After Jane was having so much success with her shoe store (which we affectionately called "Shoegasm", I decided to sell the earrings and all the findings. Well, Ebayans loved them, so I went back into the creating and making of these earrings. The higher end Bajoran style ear cuffs can be seen in my other store, Wendy's Place for Earrings, although I'll have a few in this store. This store will have mostly ear cuff dangles and a few super designs with 3 chains from a cuff to a post. And, don't forget, I can customize an earring JUST FOR YOU> Enjoy the store.
