SHIPPING & DELIVERY TIME
We send the packages maximum 5 days after payment received (not from auction ended since some customers completed their payment 7 days or more after auction ended). We go to the post office twice a week in order to fulfill the 5 days maximum, so some customers can have the same day delivery after completed payment while others have to wait several days.
We are using government postal service to ship most of our items. Since July 2008 we only use registered international airmail and EMS (express mail service) as our delivery method for safety and reliability reason.
EMS (Express Mail Service)
With EMS the package is 100% secure. It has online tracking number that can be checked anytime with daily status update. The delivery time usually quite predictable, 3-7 days to Asia and Australia, 5-8 days to most Europe countries and about 6-12 days to US, Canada, and South American countries. Delay can be occurs in custom or tax office but usually it won’t take long to clear the package.
The worse thing that can happen for EMS delivery is the package is returned back to sender if the recipient didn’t get it after a while (this period is vary in each country but usually between 1 week until 1 month before returned back to sender).
One minor weakness in EMS is that we can’t ship to every country in the world while registered international airmail can.
Registered International Airmail
Registered airmail package don’t have tracking number. We can ask our post office to help track the package but it will take at least a week or two to locate its status. Until now we haven’t lost any registered airmail but we can’t guarantee that 100% (unlike EMS delivery) and that’s why we have our refund policy.
As for registered airmail delivery, it is indeed harder to predict. We can tell this by our own experience delivering hundred packages each month. Delivery to US, while to some cities can be as fast as 7 days, our customers in some cities received their packages in 4 weeks time.
We do have several complaints about delivery time using registered airmail. We always explain that while we always maintain our 5 days maximum delivery, but once the packages already in post office possession, there’s nothing we can do to speed up the delivery process. The delay can happen anywhere, at our post office, at the transit, at the recipient post office, or at all of them.
All we can do is asking help to the post office to track the package (which quite a while) and asking our customers to be more patient, and if they haven’t received their packages within 6 weeks after auction ended then we will send a refund. |
