WEST HIGHLAND WHITE TERRIER CLUB

OF SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN

WELCOME TO THE MICHIGAN WESTIE CLUB EBAY SITE. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of Westies through responsible breeding. To this end we hold two conformation specialties each year. Our Club also supports an Education effort directed towards the general public and a rescue effort to assist homeless Westies who do not have a responsible breeder standing behind them. The West Highland White Terrier Club of Southeastern Michigan was organized to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of the pure-bred West Highland White Terriers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection; to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which West Highland White Terriers Shall be judged, to do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of all breeds of pure-bred dogs and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials; to conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows and obedience trials under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club. MICHIGAN EDUCATION To further the goals of our Club, we have an "Education Committee" whose commitment is to provide information and materials to assist the general public in their effort to research the breed, to find a responsible breeder and to help all to understand the reasons for avoiding puppy mill, pet store and backyard breeder dogs. Only through education will irresponsible breeding be ended and with all families have a chance to love a happy, healthy pet. Education website
