Having been in the customer service business for greater than 35 years, my goal as an eBay seller is to provide excellent customer service and quality products. I am not a drop shipper; therefore the items that I sell are stocked by me locally and are available for shipment as soon as the item is purchased. I will not list an item that I do not have in my possession.
Communication is an integral part of customer satisfaction and success on eBay. I make an effort to communicate with all my customers during and after the sale. Should the buyer have a question regarding an auction or an item that they have purchased, I will be glad to communicate with them. Likewise, communication from the buyer is expected should there be a problem in honoring payment for a winning bid. It is unacceptable and unethical for someone to win an aucton and never pay nor communicate to the seller. Failure to pay for a winning auction and not communicate with the seller warrants Negative Feedback.
I prefer to ship Priority Mail as I know that most people want the item they purchase as soon as possible. Most all items are shipped within 24 hours of purchase Monday thru Friday. I provide all my customers with emails as to when and how their purchases are shipped and provide a tracking number when applicable.
All returned items must be approved via email prior to returning. Items returned for reasons other than material defect or errors on my part will be subject to a reasonable restocking fee.
I require shipping insurance on certain items as the value warrants. However, most items are sold with insurance as an option to the buyer. If one refuses the insurance option, then the buyer accepts the responsibility of the purchased item once it is given to the US Post Office. If the item is lost or damaged in shipment, the buyer realizes the loss. On the other hand, if the buyer purchases the insurance option, the US Post Office will reimburse the buyer for the loss. The buyer is responsible to interface with the US Post Office in order to collect an insurance claim.
