I am pet portrait artist Debbie Martin. I've been involved in art, design, advertising and computers most of my life. My love for dogs and photography eventually turned into a hobby of taking pictures at various dog events and graphically editing the photographs to produce artwork for various projects, including full color portraits and faux stained glass window clings. What started out as something done for fun turned into friends asking for artwork of their dogs, and word eventually spread about my work. I show my dogs and have also competed in obedience, field trials, hunting tests and just recently, lure coursing. I've had Irish Setters for many years and now, for the last few years, I've enjoyed living with a breed that I only enjoyed from afar for so long, the Saluki. Both breeds provide me with endless opportunities to artistically portray them, as they are both beautiful even when they're not trying to be.

After the death of my beloved Rose, I decided it was time to do what I loved most on a much wider scale. I sell stock and custom artwork here on eBay and on my website below, and I also set up a vendor booth at various dog shows throughout the midwest during the year, selling window clings and taking portrait commissions. I take my teenaged stepson to the shows to help at the booth while I'm busy showing a dog or two and running around taking photos.
