Linda Owens (LOWEN) brought over 40 years into the Horse business, with a specialty in American Saddlebreds, to her creation and dream, Gloraloma Ranch, once one of the largest Equestrian Facilites in America, specializing in all breeds, but with a focus on natural horsemanship and the American Saddlebred Horse.

 She has participated in virtually every aspect of the equestrian world, including riding instruction, showing (riding and drivng) at both the local and national levels, and high schooling of horses. An Honors Graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, MO., Lifetime member of the ASHA and founder of the Colorado American Saddlebred Horse Association, along with Who's Who in American Business Women, Linda has studied at the Walker Art Institute in Minneapolis. Her paintings can be found in private collections as well as in the public domain, including the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. She has authored three books on horses and has a special expertise in ASB bloodlines.

As LOWEN, Linda created original sculptures of horses that reflected her deep understanding and love for this glorious animal. She has sold her sculptures to buyers in every one of the continental United States. Her lifesize horse head sculptures in Crystal Mosaic tile are particularly unique and expressive. There were nine of them.

Linda is not doing any more sculptures.

Linda's work has exhibited in her home state of Colorado as well as at international horse venues in Kentucky, including The American Saddlebred Museum located at the Horse Park.

 Pneumonia and a life threatening coma and life support caused Lowen to relocate in Missouri now, where she is occassionally showing her sculptures at the famous Missouri American Saddlebred Museum in Missouri, and has some on permanent display there.

 

At this time she may offer a miscellany of horse related items.
