My name is Kyle Hershey, and I've been a bladesmith for the last ten years. I'm a union carpenter by trade, but I can't keep my hands off the blacksmith tongs! In my spare time, I make custom knives. My passion is for Japanese blades. In my opinion, nothing is more visceral, than the look, feel, and finish of a Japanese blade. From the elegant hamon/temper line, to the intricate tsuka maki/cord wrap. I try to incorporate as much of this influence into my blades as possible.

 I take pride in my work, and do not cut corners. I forge using minimal heats to maintain a fine grain, and use quality steel from credible sources. I only use top notch materials to craft a blade that will become a family treasure for generations to come. -Kyle "Kire" Hershey
