In the fine wine business, the wine is often
very expensive and imported to the US in it's original
wood crate. Wineries of this caliber produce wooden crates to
protect their wine in transit, and often brand them with their names
and individually designed pictures and artwork. These design pieces
are engraved or embossed on each crate, and in many cases have been
used by the winery for hundreds of years. These age old designs are
authentic to the winery and are truly works of art. These crates
have been made by the best winemakers in the world for centuries,
and represent their deep tradition and mastery.
It is unusual for an investor to
purchase every bottle in a crate. Often times, they purchase only a
few bottles. Once the crate is empty, our work begins. Wine crates
that are imported, may have winery stickers, tape, magic marker
numbering or lettering, scuffs or chips. The crates may also have
large gashes or are damaged and cannot be used. The crate is checked
for imperfections and is either deemed usable as a crate or it is
dismantled. If the crate is deemed as usable, all
imperfections of any sort are removed and the crate is prepared and
made complete with lid and inserts. If the crate is dismantled, the
sides of the crate become wine panels. We do our best to find
a way to recycle this unusable wood, whether it be by converting it
into sawdust, wood chips or mulch. We are a socially responsible

standard of reducing waste.
