From my imagination ....... My name is Laura Carey~ I am a full time dairy farmer in Ontario Canada~> As a small child we would take family drives in the country. My mother would admire the horses...'look Laura' she would say.... I was looking,...... but at the beautiful cows in the next field. Little did I know then I would spend my adult life on a dairy farm, caring for and milking these wonderful creatures~ Most of my close friends know how much I love my girls...as I call them~ Each girl has her own personality...some gentle, some curious, some nosey....and the odd bratt~lol~ Each day at the barn is a new adventure...I never know what will happen~ I am probably best known for my sheep art.... but you may be suprised to learn that I don't have sheep. I have bugged my husband for years...but so far no luck~ lol~ I have been very fortunate to be able to bring my two life long passions together to create Farmyard Art~ I have been professionally selling my art for four years now on ebay. I started out with my paintings. My goal is always to capture the animals personality....cows, pigs, goats, alpacas and sheep...real farm characters each one~ My ornaments were designed by my best girlfriend and I. They were only sold at christmas, but thanks to thier popularity I am now selling them year round~ Right now my fiber arts are my main focus. Sculpting from wool,.....watching as each creation comes to life ~ Specailizing mainly rabbits, and sheep~ I do commissions and am easy to work with~ I do have ebay email problems, but can be contacted directly at lauracarey@sympatico.ca I am blessed to have many great collectors. I am busy with many new and Exciting ideas that will be arriving in the store in the next month or so~ I am very excited about my new coffee table book containing 76 pages of over a 100 of my colourful paintings~ I am also very excited about my new jewelry line~ Be sure to cheak back often and don't hesitate to email me~ The countdown is on~!! Video 1....My trip to Garmicsh....everynight the cows come home through the town streets~ Notice the cow with the stripe, I would have brought her home to Canada, if I could have~! My parents bought bells for my two brown swiss cows, I thought it would be great~ Jose and Birki just about jumped out of thier skins however,they were so scared.... so the bells now hang in my home~lol~! ~ Many, many thanks~!!!
