Whispering Pines Antiques

ABOUT ME: Whispering Pines Antiques has been our business for 26 years, buying and selling in shops, antique shows, flea markets, auctions and ebay. Have loved what I do and plan on it for the rest of my life. We have 4 grown children and 10 grandchildren and what a joy they are. My husband took early retirement from the Mayo Clinic and has joined me with the antiques. We are currently just doing shows and ebay. We live in the country with a daughter living next door and babysit time to time for the 7 1/2 year old grandson and his sister who is 3 1/2 yrs old. But we also babysit for the others periodically which are also a joy to have. Other hobbies are traveling, auctions, reading and enjoy playing cards with friends & neighbors.

We try to buy what the public is looking for and in the best condition we can find it in. We are diverse in our buying, and buy paper goods, glass, pottery, jewelry and some small pieces of furniture and many other unique items as we find them. We wrap with plenty of packing material for a safe journey to your home. Keep coming back as we are out buying all the time and trying to get as much on ebay as we can.

Just a quick note about negative feedbacks. Out of over 2500 positives, I have only 8 negatives. If you read them you will find that either the person that left the negative was a deadbeat bidder, extortionist, newbie, etc. All have been retalitory comments after reporting them to ebay using the NPB process (non paying bidder alert) or pieces I bought from who sold me a repaired piece of pottery, we sellers have to do this in order to start the process to recover our listing and commision fees from ebay or get our money back from misrepresented pieces. I have no problem leaving negative feedbacks for deadbeats, even if it means getting one for myself, obviously they will always give one in return, so take it for it's true worth. Ebay needs to do more to protect the sellers against the unbelievable amount of deadbeats lately. Also, the fact that they can leave a negative feedback for an item they never paid for amazes me. Talk to any seller who has been here for a while and you will hear the same story. Sorry to be on the soapbox, but ebay does not give us enough room to comment in the feedback area, and I know I am not alone in how I feel about feedback, I am sure all of you have gone through it at one time or another or will go through it someday, so I will just use this little space to get my message across. I work hard for you and want you to truly enjoy your buying experience, I will work with you every step of the way to ensure your complete satisfaction, and if for any reason you have a problem, please feel free to email me so we can work it out. Thank you, woodtiques
