I am a bead and ornament lover who makes beaded Christmas ornaments to sell and give as gifts. I decided to sell ornament making supplies after realizing how difficult it is to find the materials I need to make my ornaments. I figured if I was having trouble, others were, too! I started selling pearl head corsage pins in 2004. I opened my eBay store, The Crafty Elephant, in January, 2005, and expanded my inventory to include satin balls and other satin ornament shapes. Next came filigree findings, metal beads and bead caps, then pearl chain and decorative trims, loose beads and pearls, ornamental drops and tassels, flat back jewels and pearl cabochons, sequin pins and quilting pins and other ornament making necessities. I understand my customers must buy supplies at low prices in order to realize profits on their hand crafted items. Therefore, I sell items as low as possible and do not overcharge on shipping. As eBay and PayPal(an eBay-owned company)impose fee increases, I am forced to increase my prices. As much as I hate this, I have no choice if I want to keep The Crafty Elephant store open on eBay. My customers can actually HELP ME combat high fees on eBay.
