Wandering Star Designs prides itself on making jewelry that is pretty and powerful. Blending the science of astronomy with the art of astrology, every necklace and bracelet is a mathematically accurate map of the entire solar system, from gemstone planets to gold zodiac constellations. Even if you don’t know much about astrology, the beauty and meaning of every bead shines through. What a perfect birthday gift!

Meet the Wandering Star Staff
Alicia C Katz (front) is the artist and visionary behind Wandering Star Astrology Chart Jewelry. She is a Cancer with a Libra moon and Libra ascendant, and has two Yods in her chart.
She "aligned" with her idea for astrology jewelry while studying astronomy in Santa Fe, NM in 1995. She wanted to make jewelry that was not only pretty, but practical and powerful as well. She discovered that she could balance the science of astronomy with the art of astrology. The first pieces were made as Christmas presents, then friends started asking for them...and a business was born. Wandering Star grew from a tackle box at the kitchen table to a community-based business with stores and customers all over the world.
Alicia has a Masters in Teaching from Tufts University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers and the Oregon Astrological Association.
When not making jewelry, she teaches Microsoft Office User Certification at Heald College, and Macintosh computers at MacPac, both in Portland OR. She has also designed a number of websites on the internet.
Alicia's committment to personal growth and artistic expression manifests a world that works for everyone. She says, "My jewelry is my way of bringing good energy to people's lives, to create a tangible tool to encourage a positive self-fulfilling prophecy."
With 20+ stores carrying her jewelry, COVR awards, and articles being written about her work, it seems Alicia truly is making a difference in people's lives!

Jamie Katz Pollock , Alicia's husband, is Wandering Star's business consultant and advisor, keeping tabs on the company's growth.

Trish Combs is Wandering Star's beader. She puts intention and integrity into every necklace and bracelet she strings.

Kat Drumbor has been working at Wandering Star for about 3 years after accepting an early retirement from a big Utility Corporation. She was looking for something fun to do when she came upon Wandering Star's booth at the Body Mind Spirit Expo. So, she asked Alicia if she needed any part time help.

MaryJean Kidd, CAP MS is the astrological advisor at Wandering Star, and has been instrumental in creating the Destiny charts. An astrologer with a counseling practice in Portland OR, MaryJean has also been the President of the Oregon Astrological Association.
