We are a Washington State University department, specifically, Materials and Resources Management, but better known by university staff and clients as "WSUsed" or WSU Surplus. Last year we sold over $300,000 of surplus University property to the public via live auction and sealed bid sales, and in January, 2001, we began our first sales online, on eBay.

We sell some 20,000 plus items every year and we have a crazy assortment of items to sell as surplus; everything the university buys that is not consumed eventually finds its way out to Surplus Stores. As in, old, and not-so-old, computers, about anything electronic, butcher block top tables, tattoo machines (we tattoo pigs for identification purposes), wood turkey cages (make great coffee tables), kilns, itsy bitsy bottles, military vehicles, funky clothes (from the theater department), surf board, old 35mm cameras, balance scales, microscopes, a three-legged calf and ordinary things too....
