WV Peddler Toys About Me: I am retired so I sell on Ebay full time both for the enjoyment of it and the added income. I have bought and sold on Ebay for almost 11 years now. I don’t consider myself an expert on much, but have been selling these old toys for most of those 11 years and have a fair idea of what’s important to bidders. If I state in the auction that I am not familiar with that item, believe it. I often purchase things on a whim! Shipping and Description Info Shipping: International customers-the package has to be big enough to put a readable label and a custom slip on it. In the US. –package has to be big enough for delivery confirmation label (that Paypal demands) and thick enough to qualify for cheap DC by the post office (3/4 in. thick.). I try very hard to keep shipping costs down. On any larger item, I take the time to find a box, before I list it, weigh everything and come up with as accurate shipping rate as I can. Then I mark the box and store it for when the item sells. I don’t just say, oh maybe $15.00 and when you are in the next state I make a bundle. That’s not me! I'm sorry if I have to send your small breakable item by Priority mail. I just don't have a large supply of small sturdy boxes. Note that I don't add any handling charges-it is exactly what the post office charges me. If it's not breakable, I will send it in a bubble envelope as cheap as possible. I'm not trying to make money for the post office! Nor do I try to make money on shipping. I will always give a shipping estimate. I try to make my descriptions as accurate as I can. When I’m selling something I’m not familiar with, I try to research the item to find out what is important to the buyers. I also put in my auction that I’m not familiar so please ask questions. I’m not trying to scam you, please ask! I put “as is” on almost every auction. This doesn’t mean that I am unreasonable, especially if you point out my mistake. I admit that I am not perfect, I can make a mistake. What it is there for is for differences of opinions (I think its good condition, you think it is fair). Also if I understand it right, it stops people from going directly to their credit card companies and canceling payments.
