Hi, and thanks for taking the time to read about our small family eBay business!

After many years of selling on eBay and after many customer requests, we have finally decided to make an About Me Page for our antique business. Many of our customers already know us on a first name basis, but for those that don't here is a short summery of what Rhode Island Internet Consignment & Sales is all about.

First off, we take pride in all our auctions and try to list a vast array of unique & interesting antiques everyday. These antiques & collectibles are found at various auctions up and down the east coast . My father, also know as Bill W, does ALL the buying and and my mother keep the house running and watches our kids "her grandkids" so we can work, She also keeps us well fed with her great cooking. They have been in the antique business for over 40 years. They began their business buying and selling to make a quick buck, but when eBay came along it changed their lives. They are now able to buy and sell in greater quantity and quality, and best of all get more money for their items thanks to a worldwide customer base. We also take in high end consignment for a small percentage, and have over 20 steady local consignors. My parents employee five full time employees and hope to be adding more in the future as our business continually grows.

I am 2nd in command, Sergeant at Arms as my father says. I've been working here since 2000, since the start of our eBay adventure. I take and fix most of photographs as well as type the descriptions in the auctions. I buy our items two days a week at local auctions in Conn & RI. I handle problems, do alot of the cleaning and organizing, anything else that needs to be done on a given day. Lisa has a tough job, she answers all of our hundreds of emails daily. Handles all the shipping quotes, and shipping related problems. She also handles the majority of the customer relations on the phone, seeing they are usually talking to her via emails. She even works on Saturdays, getting delivery's ready for the various stops along the weeks, handling local pickups, and anything else she needs to do to keep this business going smooth. Katie is our 2nd in command and has been here for 6 years, she works part time and deals primarily with all the consignors, getting them paid and keeping all their paperwork in line. She also enters all our companies expenses, keeps all the bookkeeping in order is not an fun task but someone has to do it, and makes our online labels. Recently she has ventured into being a Photographer on days Lindsey is out buying, and loves it. Next is our newest employee our packer Amber, who packs 35+ hours a week. Shes only been with us for a short while but has joined the family very smoothly as she has been a friend with Lindsey for 18 years. D.J. is out fifth employee who is are part time Jack-of-all-trades. He helps out by cleaning items, and doing a lot of the heavy work. He also loads & unloads the trunk for auctions, brings items out to be packed, cleans the offices, takes out trash and other miscellaneous tasks. It not be a fun job, but its one of the most important!

My father is a workaholic and the backbone of this company! He loves what he does, it makes him very happy to run a business he enjoys and is exceptionally good at. Right now we are doing better on eBay than ever before, and he only plans to keep expanding. We recently incorporated our business, Rhode Island Internet Consignment & Sales, and will soon be taking in many more consignment items. As my dad says, "I'm Going to Make Hay While the Sun Shines!"

All the antiques & collectibles we list are fresh from local Flea Markets, Auctions, Estate Sales, and Consignment from Local Homes. We give a 100% unconditional guarantee on all of our auctions, answer all of our emails personally, as well as leaving personalized feedbacks for each we receive. Our customer's satisfaction with their transaction is a huge priority to us, and we do everything possible to ensure that each customer is happy with their item and the service they receive. All of our items are custom packaged with extreme care and professional materials. We ship USPS, DHL, and primarily UPS. Shipping days are Monday through Friday, however it may take up to one week for us to ship your item. We pack items in the order they are paid for, and take the time to give each item the most safe and secure packing job to ensure that it makes it safely to it's new home. If you pay via PayPal we will send you your USPS or UPS tracking number the day the item is shipped. If you live on the east coast we will gladly meet you somewhere on our route to Maryland to deliver any item for free. Check out our glowing feedbacks as they say a lot about our business.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our family business. If you ever have any questions about any item, reserve, shipping quote, or policies, please feel free to contact us at any time and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Best Wishes, and Happy eBaying,

Bill, Wendy, Lindsey, Lisa, Katie, Amber & DJ.
