I first started collecting bottles and jars way back in 1962 when a neighbor asked me to go with her and her son on a walk in the woods. She collected cast iron items. At first I kept everything I found. Later with some education I learned what to keep and what to leave. I joined the local bottle club and participated in their activities. Slowly I came to know other collectors and have many friends in the field now. For a while I collected medicines, mineral waters, sodas and whiskeys. Later came fruit jars, bottle openers, food bottles and other stuff. Now I mainly collect sauces, florida waters, liniments, baking powders, and glass orange/lemon juicers. My collection has grown very large over the years and I try to keep at least 4,000 items on display at all times.
Since I live on the East coast which is prone to hurricanes I am trying to cut the collection back to a sensible size. Therefore I am trying to sell the jars, sodas, whiskeys and foods. Ebay has been my outlet for six years plus now. I wouldn't have it any other way. Below are pictures of some of my sauces for all to enjoy. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
