COLLECTING, MY FAVORITE PAST TIME
JUST A LITTLE ABOUT ME. I'M A NATIVE TEXAN, AND STILL NOT USE OF THE HUMIDITY. I WORKED IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR OVER 30 YEARS, AND COLLECTED ALL THE SPORTS ITEMS I COULD, PLUS SOME BEARS, SIGNED BOOKS, AND SOME OLD TOYS. IT IS SO MUCH FUN, I JUST NEED A SEPERATE HOUSE FOR ALL MY GOODIES. I RETIRED SEVERAL YEARS AGO, AND BOUGHT A SPORTS CARD SHOP, NOW I WAS IN HOG HEAVEN. LOVED ALL THE KIDS THAT CAME TO MY SHOP, AND DURING THE SUMMER, MANY SPENT HOURS WITH ME. THEY THOUGHT IT FUNNY THAT A WOMAN KNEW ABOUT SPORTS, MUCH LESS OWN A SHOP. MY SHOP WAS CALLED "THE WINNING RUN", AND I REALLY ENJOYED IT. CARDS, AND SUPPLIES, PLUS RENT BECAME SO EXPENSIVE, THAT I HAD TO CLOSE AFTER FIVE YEARS."REMEMBER WHEN A GOOD PACK OF CARDS WAS ABOUT .50 CENTS TO A $1.00, AND YOU GOT GUM TOO? WELL WHEN I CLOSED MY SHOP, A NICE PACK OF CARDS COST $5.00 AND UP, SO MANY KIDS COULDN'T AFFORD TO PAY $5 AND $10 ON UP FOR ONE PACK OF CARDS. YES, IT WAS NICE, BUT HAD TO GIVE IT UP, AND NOW I SELL MY ITEMS ON EBAY. I'M FULLY RETIRED NOW, AND HAVE TONS OF GOODIES, SO I TAKE MY TIME,AND WHEN READY, I GO TO EBAY. I'VE HAD SOME REALLY NICE CUSTOMERS, MAKES LIFE GOOD. I WILL ALWAYS TRY TO GIVE GOOD SERVICE, BE HONEST, AND MAKE A FAIR DEAL. AFTER ALL AT 65, I STILL FEEL LIKE A KID AT HEART.MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT SELLERS, AND BUYERS NEED TO BE HONEST. TRUST IS EARNED.
