My favorite hobby
|
I have an addiction to yarn. I need it, I want it, I have to have it. I derive great joy out of walking into a yarn store and catching that first view of the yarn stacks. It's so pretty, it's so organized, and it is all begging to be taken home with me. There are bright colors and soft colors, baby yarn and wool yarn, there are fun- furs and loose twists. Yarn comes in many textures from animal fibers to the jelly yarn made from plastic. I have yarn all over my room. In drawers, in bags, in a little locker at the foot of my bed. I have yarn I bought for certain projects and yarn I bought simply because it was too beautiful to leave in the store. My yarn addiciton is one like I have never known, and i must say I thouroughly enjoy it.

Along with my addiction to yarn I have a serious love affair with music. My iPod is overrun with artists such as Dave Barnes, Josh Groban, Paramore, Muse, and the David Crowder Band. My interests range from *Nsync to Linkin Park and I have my roots in Brooks-N-Dunn, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood. I love the calming effect of Debussy paired with the intensity of 30 Seconds to Mars. My all time favorites are Relient K, Sleeping at Last, Back Door Slam, Louis Armstrong, the Go-Gos, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Knapp, Addison Road, Snow Patrol, Iron and Wine, Dispatch, Lifehouse, the Temptations, and Norah Jones. I'm sure I'm leaving many great artists out... Beck, Nirvana, Sarah Kelly, Reba McIntire, Audio Adreneline, Government Mule....
