Thank you for stopping by to learn a bit more about me.  I am a self-taught artist ~ particularly interested in Mexican Folk Art.  I live along the border of Old Mexico and Texas ~ a few miles from Terlingua Ghost Town.  The Rio Grande is the natural border and I live in the area right where the river makes its "bend."  My neighbor is the Big Bend National Park and it takes its name from the bend in the Rio Grande which runs all the way through the park.  Because of my location I naturally find myself painting what I most often experience ~ which is the beauty and tranquillity and loyalty of the Mexican people.  I admire their love of family and their values.  Old Mexico is a special, magical place with all its tradition, culture and colour!  All I need do is think "Mexico!" and all sorts of images spring to mind that I am eager to paint!  My greatest inspiration for painting comes from this wonderful part of the world in which I live!

In the creation of a painting I am blessed the first time around because I am expressing something I am feeling at the time.  I am blessed the second time around when it becomes a means for you to express something you are feeling at the time.  So whether you purchase a painting from my estudio ~ or not ~ just the fact that a piece sparked your interest so that it brought you here ~ is a wonderful blessing to me!
