To make package tags/ornaments all you need is a fabric that's printed in squares that can be sewn around. Below is instructions and pictures.

Above is a thin batting, fabric and muslin. Make sure your batting and backing fabric is slightly larger than the ornament fabric. You can also use felt for the middle instead of batting. And you can use any fabric for the backing. If you are going to use them as a package tag, I suggest a light colored fabric so you can write on it.

Next make a sandwich out of your fabrics. Lay down the backing fabric, the batting then the ornament fabric. Then pin each ornament in the middle of each one. If you look close you can see white pin heads.

Now you are going to sew around the edge of each square on the line as close as possible. Make sure you fabric lays flat as you go. It's okay if the fabric between each ornament is puckered, as you will be cutting them apart and you won't see it.

This is what the back will look like when you are done sewing.

Next cut them apart about 1/8 of an inch from your stitching. Now you want to add some kind of hanger. On mine I use jute and buttons to hide where I glued the jute to the ornament. You can use ribbon or anything you may have laying around the house. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
