I have been Creating since I was a little girl watching Carol Duvall with My Wonderful Grandma "Minnie" * 1900-1994 * I am Blessed to Have her Talent for Creating.... I have been involved in many creative fields over the past 30 years. Floral Design specializing in Silk Florals & Weddings, this gave me a great eye for Combining Colors... Also, Being like My Dear Grandma, I can pretty much look at something & Create a pattern.... This lead to Designing & Creating Mohair Teddy Bears from My Original Patterns for about 20 years, I participated in many Shows & Conventions 1988 - 1994 under the name * Patches & Paws, I Still Use some of My Original Patterns & Many New Original ones...... Another Favorite are My Special Designed & Sculpted Memory Santa Claus.....
I Love anything Vintage & Antique... Material, Trims, Buttons, Photos & Paper Ephemera..... I am a Collector of STUFF! I Use Many of these Treasures in My Creations..... My Style runs from being Funky * Zany * in Mixed Media Collage * Teddy Bears * OOAK Santa Claus * to Folk Art * Whatever Inspiration that comes my way.... I am trying to Remember to keep my trusty mini recorder by my bedside, as many ideas come during my dreaming hours~
All ZanyMayd Originals are Created from MY Original Designs .... Many times Free Hand Cut without any pattern, sewn by Hand or on My Wonderful Vintage 1930's Sewing Machine..... All Created just for You in My Studio where I live with My Sweet Kitty "Elliot Alex The Lion" (Yes, My Grandaughter named him)
