Welcome
I think it's great that eBay has allowed its members this little bit
of space so we could get to know each other a little better before we do
business together. Since you can't see or talk to the buyer or seller,
this just adds a little personal touch. My name is Dyar and I'm a proud
Grandpa living in Atlanta, Georgia where I have resided for the past 34
years. Just having a little fun on eBay where I've been registered since
3/11/99. In the next few minutes I'm going to explain how and why I do
business the way I do on eBay, and offer you a little freebie for visiting
my members page.
I started off on eBay, as most people do, by being a buyer. When I decided
to do a little selling, my main goals were, and still are, to fully and
accurately describe my products in my listings and to provide superior
service over and above what other sellers on eBay were giving. I had dealt
with a large number of sellers and knew what service they gave, but more
importantly what they didn't do. Very simply, I treat my fellow eBayers
the way I want to be treated. Being an honest eBayer is important to me.
I must be doing something right as a large percentage of my transactions
are repeat customers.

How I do Business
If you are viewing this page because you're considering buying something
from me, here's what to expect:

An accurate description of the product at auction giving you enough information
to make a decision.

A personalized email from me at auction end giving you all the information
you need to complete your checkout, and to get your purchase on its way
to you. I always include my name, address and phone number should you need
to get in touch with me.

A shipping confirmation (generally within 24 hours of receipt of your payment)
by email giving you the date I shipped the product and the length of time
the Post Office quotes for delivery.

A Positive Feedback post on the day I ship the product.

A well packaged product exactly as described in the auction listing.
After my auction is over, feel free to email me anytime should you feel
something is not right or if you're not satisfied in any way with anything
regarding my auction. I always try my best to make sure my customers are
satisfied customers and I will do my best to correct any situation that
you may not be happy with.

you can be sure that if I win your auction, you will be contacted quickly
after the auction closes and payment will be sent immediately.

A Word About Shipping
My goal for shipping is to have the product arrive at your front door
in the same condition as when it left my hands. In order to do this, I
package my products extremely well. In fact, I had a customer tell me once
that the only problem they had with the transaction was getting the package
unwrapped once it arrived. If the item is a software item in a jewel case,
it will most probably be shipped in a sturdy cardboard box which was custom
made for this purpose, to protect the CD in transit.
I generally ship by USPS, primarily because I go to the Post Office
almost every day and it is only two miles from my house. If the weather
is nice, I sometimes even walk there to deliver products. I hand deliver
each product to the Post Office so that I get a printed receipt from the
Post Office as proof of shipping. The method of shipping (Priority, First
Class or Media) will be clearly stated in the listing as will the shipping
and handling costs. I will ship UPS if requested. I am not be responsible
for lost or broken items once it leaves my hands. Therefore I strongly
recommend you purchase insurance. In some instances there is a small handling
fee (never excessive) added to the actual shipping charge to offset a portion
of the the cost of materials actually used in packaging. It is rarely enough
as packing materials are expensive. Total shipping fees are almost always
less than my competition.

My Views on Feedback
Feedback is an important aspect of the eBay community. Since you don't
meet the person on the other side of the transaction face to face, and
since most people don't bother to make an "About Me" page, feedback is
often the only indicator of what the other person is like and what kind
of experience you are likely to have. My position is that the Buyer's only
obligation necessary to receive positive feedback is to pay promptly. The
Seller, on the other hand, has the obligation to deliver the product exactly
as advertised and in a prompt and professional manner. I have enough confidence
in what I sell that I post positive feedback when I ship the product. View
my feedback and be confident in eBaying with me.
You should always check a seller's feedback before you bid. If there's
something you don't like, don't bid. You should also leave feedback on
every transaction so that future eBayers will know what to expect from
the buyer or seller.
