TIMELESS TREASURES
ABOUT ME:
I am a physician in St. Louis, MO with a passion for old "stuff." I have an interest in old medical instruments and gadgets and old medical books. I collect Early American Pattern Glass and Buttons. I am a member of the Early American Pattern Glass Society and the National Button Society. My husband and I like to get away for antiquing trips on my free weekends. It gives us a chance to get far away from the everyday stress and worries and just kick back and relax. We live on 10 acres just outside of St. Louis. My mother also lives with us. She is always anxious to see what we have brought home from our "old stuff" trips. I know that she thinks I am just a little nutty about my collections, but she gets a kick out of the things that I manage to bring home and she always sits down with me to reminisce about my finds. I have really enjoyed trading on eBay because I have "met" some really wonderful fellow traders and even though we have never met face to face, I count you as part of my circle of friends. (You know who you are!!!)OTHER INTERESTS
I have a wonderful daughter who works in the field of marketing and enjoys running marathons and playing tennis and a long-suffering husband who is retired. We have a "rescued" a Weimaraner named Jack who is a full-time job all by himself. But those baby blue eyes...well who can resist!? We also have a rescued Rottweiler named Mollie who is Jack's best friend!! She keeps him tired out, and those of you who have had Weimaraners know that the only good Weimaraner is a tired Weimaraner!! My other interests include community service as a member of the Board of Directors and also the medical director of a local Crisis Pregnancy Center, playing tennis, and my church. I am an avid reader. I am fascinated by old books and I love old glass!! I also think old buttons are really neat and I have a growing collection of them. You can find me at antique shops, garage sales, antique malls and auctions in the little spare time that I have. Sometimes I combine a quick peek into the closest thrift store with a trip to the grocery -- it just makes the trip more fun that way!!! If I could do anything that I wanted, I would like to have my own little antique shop. Until then, I have an internet antiques and collectibles shop on Ruby Lane and a booth at C.L's Crafts and Antiques, a local antique mall. Someday.....
